Happy Sunday morning to all. This Sunday marks the first day of our new blog where to spend bitcoins online and today's post marks the first of what we hope are many fun and factual blog posts all about Bitcoin and other crypto-currency news.

Why we started this blog?
We started this blog as we have a keen interested in all thing Bitcoin. When we say "we" we actually mean a team of us here that will be keeping you updated and also our main website which is all about where to spend bitcoins online. We are a team make up of tech savvy people (not me) and also a few of us love writing and researching. We also got into bitcoin a few years back, when it was virtually unknown by most. 

This cannot be said for today however as Bitcoin and the use of other crypto-currencies are widely know by most - that you could say that it is a bit more "mainstream". Of course, gone are the good old days where, if you had one bitcoin you probably bought it at a real low price and if you help onto them then you probably made a really nice profit. Now, the prices does of course fluctuate but, BTC is more stable, which is only good news, but unless we see a huge dip, it's more or less the same. But perhaps that will happen again. 

It's been a fun ride for us, as we say we were totally new new to this modern currency and were lucky to get a small about of BTC that exploded, but that wasn't the end of the story. Because, and this is one of the reasons why this blog exists now - is that we have no idea what to do with it! 

Talking about 2 years ago now, and we are the first to profess that we are (or, were not at the time) traders nor had the foggiest of what to do - but because some work we did actually paid us in Bitcoin and we had no choice about that - which in hindsight was a wonderful thing!) that we had to learn fast about what to do with it. So it was a fun but scary ride!

Some of us Hod'ld the coins for later (HOD means to keep hold of them even though you see them rise and decrease) and some spend them or traded them in for "real" currency. 

But, interestingly we also found out that if you wanted to buy something online with Bitcoin then that's really easy too (a bit more restricted on where you can spend them) but more and more shops and websites are taking them.
